I have to strongly disagree with comment that it will be easy to get a job with 6 months of experience from training institution, regardless of what is posted on ANY website. In real life, and as everyone can see from job requirements posted on monster.com, careerbuilder.com and others, CRA has to have at least 2 years of monitoring experience and another year or two of CRC experience to be considered by recruiter or company as a potential candidate. Job market in the USA is very tight. There are CRO's providing CRA training to candidates with BS degree in nursing, medicine or science however at least 2 years of working experience as CRC is still required. PRA International has had training like that called "Foundations". Qualified candidates were provided with internet based training followed by classes at PRA Int. center located in Lexington, KY. Those who passed series of internal exams with high scores and got some luck had a chance to be hired. Other institutions have similar policy; it happens that CRO is in rapid need of monitor and may consider well educated candidate with good record in research and provide quick and extensive training and eventually hire but this is very rare. I have never met anyone working as a CRA who graduated from any of dozens of "Schools" advertised on the Internet.
